The Wreck Today: The charred, broken up remains of the Boyce lie widely scattered in shallow water on a rock bottom off the northeast tip of Middle Bass Island. The location provided puts you on her engine flywheel. The extensive debris field has pipes, metal support beams, wood frame members , and many small vessel parts.
CAUTION: A rock reef lies immediately inshore from this location. In low water the rocks are exposed or the water is breaking over them. Approaching from the north, there are large submerged boulders that can do some severe damage to your boat.
